Kick off the release of the new 2023  movie in style with Plane, the action film starring Gerard Butler that has become the king of fan-favorite B-movies. Unofficial films like Copshop, Greenland, and Angel Has Fallen are hugely popular with fans, often for their potentially silly but serious concepts and fun action sequences. 
 If you're busy with must-see movies of 2022  and  looking for something a little different for upcoming Oscars movies, Plane might be the place for you. Here's everything you need to know.

Gerard Butler  as Brodie Torrance. Butler is straight out of the action epic 300, and while he's dabbled in multiple genres and been a part of some of the biggest hits (like the How To Train Your Dragon series), action  shines. He directed the Fallen trilogy (Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen and Angel Has Fallen) while receiving critical acclaim for films such as Greenland, Copshop and others.
 
Here is the official synopsis for Plane by Lionsgate: 
 
"In the  action film Plane, pilot Brodie Torrance saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a perilous landing on a war-torn island - only to find out who survived the landing is just the beginning. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels,  Torrance can only count on  Louis Gaspar (Mike Colter), a murder suspect transported by the FBI. To rescue  passengers, Torrance needs
